This season, you'll want to be gazing down at sandals in all heel heights
with hot new ankle cuffs - the wider, the better. And the best new
colors for Spring shoes are metallics, from glowing bronze to mirror silver, no matter how colorful
your outfit. As if you didn't watch the red carpet this year and see
how hot the celebs looked in their shiny stilettos.
Give Peace a Chance
They're baaaack.....the 60's that is! From Spring into
Summer, you'll be revisiting the best of hippie chic, with a hefty dose of
politically correct global multi-culturalism tossed in for good
measure. Think floaty, sari-inspired dresses paired with fringed
vests, tie-dyed head scarves, oversized hemp totes, and woven wedge platform
sandals. And speaking of fringe, it's everywhere now - from bags to
shoes to bracelets and even bib-collar necklaces, it's not a fringe look.
Okay, that was cheesy. But the newest peace sign jewelry is anything
but. Look for brushed brass cuff bracelets with "Peace" cut-outs, and
dangling peace pendants embellished with bright enamel flowers.
After all, Spring is the season of hope.
Color Burst
Spring always gives us a chance to break out
the brights, and this year is certainly not for the faint of heart.
You'll be dazzled by all shades of orange - the season's freshest color -
and bold color prints from tribal to tropical. Stand out with a
brilliant new tote painted in glowing corals and lush greens, or invigorate
last year's whites with long, richly-dyed lightweight summer scarves worn as
wraps and belts. Don't forget an extra scarf to tie around the brim of
your floppy - and ultraviolet ray blocking - straw hat.
